Manifesto & Philosophy Statement
In my design practice, I am guided by a commitment to addressing societal needs through innovative and user-centric solutions. I strive for creativity while balancing aesthetics with functionality, ensuring work that is both impactful and sustainable. Embracing collaboration and inclusivity, I wish to continuously adapt and learn to keep my designs relevant and meaningful.
Eyes, Voice, Words:
As designers, I believe that we have the power to inspire real change in the world. Designs are driven by a deep understanding of and response to the evolving needs of society. I am committed to addressing pressing social issues and fostering meaningful connections through my work. Through exhibition and experience design, I aim to illuminate pressing societal issues, providing a platform for voices to be heard and fostering deeper understanding. I encourage audiences to confront these issues directly, explore solutions, and actively participate in driving meaningful change.
"Design is not about what you make, but the difference you make."
Emotion:
A designer's best work is that which deeply resonates with the user. Emotion is the most powerful tool in design. I envision design as a dynamic tug of war, where I pull with all my force to draw out raw, authentic emotions from the audience.
“Art is a reflection of the human experience, an emotional mirror that can reveal truths we are often afraid to confront.”
Storytelling: We All Have One
"A story is a way to hold up a mirror to humanity."
An audience is made up of individuals from a myriad of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences—a rich diversity that I consider a profound gift. I am committed to uncovering and conveying these powerful, unique stories through design. By learning from and highlighting the diverse narratives that shape our world, I aim to show how our shared stories of kindness, conflict, joy, and sorrow unite us, transcending cultural boundaries and revealing common threads in our human experience.
“Stories are the fabric of our lives, woven from the threads of our experiences and dreams.”
Style: A Way to Say Who You Are without Having to Speak
Style is a profound way of revealing who we are without uttering a word. It manifests in what we wear, how we speak, and our actions—an ever-evolving profile that reflects our essence. Vision and visual content embody style, making it a crucial element for brands, places, and narratives. By crafting and owning a distinctive style, we shape and define experiences.
“Design is the silent ambassador of your brand.” - Paul Rand
Motion: Internal to External
Motion and emotion are closely intertwined. I view motion as the natural progression following emotion. Once an emotion is experienced, motion—whether physical or metaphorical—follows as a response. In design, motion is the effect that propels the audience towards change. It represents a step forward, a dance, or an outstretched arm.
“The best artist is the one who is able to create art that moves people.”
